Before Getting Out of the Gate

Tonight, I was working on a new blog project. Google and Blogger have been good platforms for me in the past. I was able to get the domain pointed and was working on the layout and template. Suddenly, the website was blocked. I had searched for ways to publish that were not subject to censorhsip. I wound up on the Hive blockchain. It's great for censorship resistance, but it's not without its problems. In any case, I was thinking that maybe I was being too paranoid. Now, before getting out of the gate, I have a blog censored. I'm trying to think of what I could have posted, reposted, or even been associated with that could have caused the blog to be blocked. I can't think of anything. If this doesn't pan out after review, I may need to look for an alternative hosting option. I was already looking at Publii as an option. It only requieres simple FTP updates. I prefer not to use Wordpress as experience has taught me that you an customize a theme and add plugins only to end up having to make repairs every time there is an update. It's a headache I'd rather not have. Part of the reason I favor Blogger.com is the simplicity of the platform. I don't have to worry about updates. They happen in the background without interruption. Blogger also has a mobile app that lends itself to quick posts while out in the field. And, Blogger works well with other Google products. I suppose I shall have to wait and see if the blog will remain blocked despite having no content. Oddly enough, I was thinking about just using X as a platform for all my media. The idea suffers from the same problem. I would be at the mercy of the platform. However, Elon Musk seems to be waving the "free speech" banner rather vigorously. Unfortunately, I couldn't host my domain there. I'll start thinking of alternatives just in case the Blogger people find something I posted that I may have forgotten about. I did use Minds.com for a while, which had some content about the border crisis, which were really just linked headlines from actual news outlets. But, I think I'm getting ahead of myself. Still, it can't hurt to be prepared.
